Cyprus - India Business Delegation and Forum

The Cypriot delegation on 21 May 2026, led by Nikos Christodoulides and accompanied by business leaders and investors, focused on strengthening ties in sectors including fintech, artificial intelligence, shipping, tourism, higher education, and energy.

A central topic of discussion was the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), with Cyprus positioning itself as a gateway for Indian companies seeking access to European markets.

Several cooperation agreements were signed during the visit, covering innovation, security, research, cultural exchange, and maritime coordination. Both countries emphasized their shared commitment to stability, economic growth, and stronger connectivity between Europe and Asia.

As part of the delegation, Mr. Ramzi Martin also participated in discussions, highlighting the importance of exchanging expertise and fostering cooperation in the fields of technology and construction. He emphasized the value of strengthening partnerships between Cypriot and Indian businesses through knowledge sharing, innovation, and joint development initiatives.

Officials described the visit as a milestone in Cyprus–India relations and a foundation for a long-term strategic partnership.
