The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry and the Cyprus–Kazakhstan Business Association, successfully organized a three-day business delegation to Almaty, Kazakhstan, from 20 to 23 June 2023. The delegation was headed by the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Mr. George Papanastasiou, and aimed to strengthen bilateral economic ties between Cyprus and Kazakhstan.
The highlight of the visit was the Cyprus–Kazakhstan Business Forum, which took place on 21 June at the Swissotel Wellness Resort. The forum focused on key sectors including Information and Communication Technology, Professional Services, Funds, and Oil & Gas. Cypriot companies participating in the mission had the opportunity to present their profiles and explore potential avenues of cooperation with Kazakhstani counterparts.
The forum was immediately followed by a networking reception, offering Cypriot business representatives the chance to engage directly with local entrepreneurs and decision-makers. Participation was capped at 20 Cypriot companies, ensuring targeted and effective interactions.
